The soprano who sang the Queen of the Night in Vienna and at the Metropolitan in New York, and the bass who made his debut at the Macedonian Opera - Ana and Igor Durlovski are staging their biggest concert to date in this country on December 6. The Jane Sandanski Sports Centre, 20:00, with a hundred musicians behind them.

Ana Durlovska was born in Shtip, studied at the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje and made her debut there at the National Opera. In 2006 she sang the Queen of the Night at the Vienna State Opera, and in the 2014/15 season she performed the same role at the Metropolitan Opera in New York - that is the aria every soprano is measured by and the one every soprano can fall apart on. Igor Durlovski was born in Bitola in 1977, made his debut in 1999, and between 2000 and 2002 sang in a string of productions at the Opera and Ballet in Skopje. The two are married and have been performing together for years, among other places at Ohrid Summer.

The concert is titled "Zavet" and runs two hours. A hundred musicians from the "Ajga" symphony orchestra play with them, conducted by Ana Spasovska, and the arrangements are new, signed by Sonny Petrovski. The programme runs from film music through opera classics to Macedonian musical heritage - three repertoires usually held by three different ensembles, here in a single evening.
