Andrea Duro, the Spanish actress known for the series „Física o Química," has confirmed that on her way to the altar with Alejandro Galán, she will have one designer - Álvaro Lucas from the brand Baro Lucas. And, in a detail already exciting Spanish readers, the dress will come with one little surprise - „white, white, maybe not." In other words - don't expect a classic white wedding gown.
Álvaro Lucas founded his brand in 2017. He became recognised during the pandemic, when one of his dresses went viral among Instagram brides. His style - clean lines, minimalist inspiration, the use of mikado silk, double crepe, organza, and signature details like 3D flowers, drapery and pleats. Duro isn't going to a designer who will „dress her up" - she's going to a friend who already understands her.
„He will be the designer of the most special dress I'll ever wear... and even more so when it comes from a great friend whom I love and admire," the actress told an interview. The statement is in a tone the Balkans rarely have - she isn't talking about a brand, not a global label, not a loud name. She's talking about friendship, about experience, about a personal bond with the person making the dress.
The wedding will be at La Montaña in Aranjuez - a location with sentimental value for the actress, because that's where the series that brought her first recognition was filmed. Duro is planning two dresses - one for the ceremony, another for the celebration. And the rarest honest line we can hear from a bride - „no, not at all - I'm still a little green" about expectations.
For the Balkan bride, this isn't fashion news. It's a lesson on how to pick a wedding dress when you have the option to choose. Not by the biggest designer. Not by the most famous brand. By the person who knows what you need, and who will make a dress for you - not for the Instagram photos. That, in the end, is the difference between fashion and style. The wedding lasts one day, the photos remain - but a look built on friendship is what doesn't get resold in a catalogue.
