For the first time in history, Autechre are landing in Serbia. The British electronic duo, one of the most uncompromising names British electronica ever produced, perform on October 1 at Ložionica in Belgrade. For many in the region this is a concert worth booking a train or bus for - acts like this rarely come this close to us.

Rob Brown and Sean Booth formed Autechre in 1987 in Rochdale, and their entire discography comes out through the legendary label Warp Records - the house that practically built the British IDM sound. The world first noticed them on the Artificial Intelligence compilation in 1992, and the debut album Incunabula in 1993 set them up as one of the pillars of the genre. Since then, decade after decade, they have remained a synonym for electronica that refuses to be easy or predictable.

What makes them special on stage is their approach to the concert as a pure sonic experiment - they often perform in complete darkness, without visual effects, leaving the audience alone with the sound. This is not a spectacle for Instagram, but an experience for those who want to lose themselves in abstract rhythms and textures. Ložionica, an old industrial space, is exactly the right frame for such a performance.
