VMRO-DPMNE: Filipče blindly follows Zaev and plays the patriot. Filipče: There's no difference between Mickoski and Gruevski - the same organized criminal group. Macedonian politics in 2026 looks exactly the same as always: everyone accuses the other of what they themselves have been accused of.
VMRO-DPMNE this week sent a statement claiming that Filipče "blindly follows Zaev and his interests", that SDSM is blocking key EU-related laws, and that the opposition works exclusively to protect "the Zaev business clan." The party characterizes Filipče as a "frightened and nervous" politician without vision.
Just a few hours later, Filipče responded on television that "there is no difference between Gruevski and Mickoski - the same organized criminal group." He accused the government of grabbing budgets through tenders for close companies and of the prime minister publicly naming judges and prosecutors along party lines.
The circular blame game never stops: every government blames the previous one, every opposition says the new government is the same as the old. Citizens, however, know this script by heart. The question nobody asks is: when both sides claim the other is an organized criminal group - who is actually running the country?
