Garbidzh vo Sofija na 28 maj

Garbage comes to Bulgaria on May 28, 2026 with a standalone show at Vidas Art Arena, the open-air summer venue at the velodrome in Sofia's Borisova Garden. After their first visit as headliners of the Hills of Rock festival in 2019, this is the band's first standalone appearance in Bulgaria.

The Scottish-American outfit is one of the most significant alternative acts of the mid-90s, with a specific sound combining alternative rock, electronic elements and a strong pop sensibility. Scottish singer Shirley Manson is up front, while the rest of the band - Butch Vig (producer of Nirvana's Nevermind), Steve Marker and Duke Erikson - comes from Wisconsin. With seven studio albums, an estimated 17 million records sold and hits like Stupid Girl, Only Happy When It Rains, Push It and I Think Im Paranoid, they've left a serious mark on the genre.

The Sofia show is part of the tour for the latest album Let All That We Imagine Be the Light, released in 2025 and described by critics as one of the most emotional records of the band's career. The setlist is expected to include premiere airings of the new material alongside classics from across the catalogue. Vidas Art Arena, as an open-air summer venue, fits what Garbage does - big, energy-packed shows that need space to breathe.

Tickets are available via ticketstation.bg from 40 euros. Vidas Art Arena sits at the velodrome in Sofia's Borisova Garden. With a four-hour drive from Skopje to Sofia, the show is a good chance for Macedonian fans of 90s alternative rock to see one of the era's defining bands.
