New Orleans, the city that birthed jazz, is sending one of its hottest sons to Belgrade. Glen David Andrews plays the Blues & Beer club on September 25 - a night where Louisiana's brass tradition meets gospel, funk and rock in an intimate club setting.

Andrews, born in 1979, comes from one of New Orleans' most storied musical families - his brother is the snare drummer of the Rebirth Brass Band, and his relatives include Trombone Shorty (Troy Andrews). A trombonist by calling, he has been touring since he was 14, playing cities all over the world with outfits like the Treme Brass Band, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and his own band.

His music tears down the walls between genres - fusing New Orleans jazz, funk, gospel and rock into performances that feel more like a sermon than a concert. The album Walking Through Heaven's Gate earned him a Grammy nomination, and today he is among the headline names at the New Orleans Jazz Fest and performs on stages like Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center.
