Hills of Rock, the biggest heavy metal and hard rock festival in the Balkans, returns to Plovdiv from July 24 to 26, 2026 at Greben Canal. The tenth-anniversary edition has one of the strongest lineups in its history, with three global headliners - Marilyn Manson, Godsmack and Electric Callboy - and a long list of supporting names.
Marilyn Manson, one of the most recognisable and controversial names in American shock rock and industrial metal, is the anticipated headliner of one of the days. With 11 studio albums, 50 million records sold and hits like The Beautiful People, Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), Mobscene and Tainted Love, he is one of the key figures in heavy music from the late 90s onward. Godsmack, the Boston-based American band with four Billboard 200 number-one albums, bring hits like I Stand Alone, Voodoo and Cryin Like a Bitch. Electric Callboy, the German masters of metalcore-with-humour and synth-pop elements, are currently the biggest metal name on TikTok and YouTube.
The supporting lineup includes Sex Pistols with Frank Carter (the original member lineup of Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock with Carter as the John Lydon replacement), Lamb of God, Black Label Society, Nothing More, Nevermore, Paradise Lost, Of Mice & Men, The Toy Dolls, Orbit Culture, Deafheaven, Northlane, Lasttrain, Vended and Karen Dió. The lineup covers every major sub-genre of heavy music - classic metal and hard rock, thrash, death, doom, metalcore and nu-metal.
Tickets are available via ticketstation.bg and hillsofrock.com. Greben Canal in Plovdiv is one of Bulgaria's biggest festival sites. For Macedonian fans of heavy music, Hills of Rock is the biggest neighbourhood opportunity - this year's edition can be extended to a four-day experience with BE4 HILLS on July 23, which brings Sabaton, Savatage and Epica.
