Ivo Dimchev wraps up his summer tour with a club concert in Sofia on September 24. The show with his band is at FOMO, doors open at 19:00, and the concert starts at 21:00.

Dimchev was born in 1976 and is among the most recognisable Bulgarian artists with an active international career. His work moves freely between music, theatre, performance, choreography and visual arts - being filed under one category was never his thing. He enrolled at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Bulgaria but dropped out fast because the teaching method was too narrow for him, then took a master's at DASarts in Amsterdam. What followed was fifteen years of performing across Europe and the United States, awards for dance and theatre, and a regular slot at ImPulsTanz in Vienna.

In recent years the centre of gravity has shifted to songwriting. He has over a hundred original songs collected in his own Songbook, and during the pandemic he played more than four hundred private concerts in people's homes in Bulgaria, Istanbul, New York and Los Angeles - a format few artists at his level would agree to. He lives between Los Angeles, New York, Vienna and Sofia, and in Sofia he opened the art space Mozei.

The Sofia concert lands right before his international engagements, including the official showcase programme at WOMEX 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - one of the key professional forums for world music.
