Judas Priest, one of the most significant bands in heavy metal history and one of the genre's key pioneers, returns to Bulgaria on August 29, 2026. The show is part of the Faithkeepers tour for the summer of 2026 and lands at Vidas Art Arena in Sofia's Borisova Garden. Their second Bulgarian visit in the last two years.
The Birmingham band has been active since 1969 and is the author of some of the most recognisable heavy metal albums of all time - British Steel, Screaming for Vengeance, Painkiller. Tracks like Breaking the Law, Living After Midnight, You Got Another Thing Comin and Painkiller are standard reference points for any fan of the genre. Frontman Rob Halford is still at the helm, his vocals instantly recognisable for their high tenor and metallic timbre, alongside long-time guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner. With 19 studio albums and 50 million records sold, they're one of the most productive and successful bands in the genre.
The Faithkeepers tour is built as a full spectacle with complete stage production and a setlist covering every phase of the career. After Sofia, the tour continues through Germany, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, the UK, Netherlands, France and Spain. Vidas Art Arena, with capacity for around 7000 and an open-air summer format, is the right room for a heavy metal gig at this scale.
Tickets are available via ticketstation.bg from 55 euros. The show kicks off in the evening on Saturday, August 29, 2026. For Macedonian heavy metal fans, this is the biggest neighbourhood opportunity at the end of summer - Judas Priest sit firmly in the top five most important bands the genre has ever produced.
