Tirana will be the only European city where Kanye West performs this year. The rapper, who now goes by Ye, comes to the Air Albania Stadium (Eagle Stadium) on July 11 starting at 8 p.m. - a concert the Albanian promoter is billing as the biggest music event in the region for 2026.
Ye, formerly Kanye West, is one of the most controversial and at the same time most influential names in modern music. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he put his name to some of the most important hip-hop albums ever made - „The College Dropout", „Graduation", „My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", „Yeezus", and „Donda" - records that shaped the sound, the fashion, and the pop culture of whole generations. The Tirana show is billed as his first in Albania and in the Balkans.
There's already tension around this concert, and not just the musical kind. Prime Minister Edi Rama personally announced the event as historic for the capital, while at the same time a string of scheduled Ye shows across Europe - in Switzerland, Poland, and France - were cancelled, and his name was pulled from the British festival Wireless over the artist's repeated antisemitic and racist statements. Tirana remains, for now, the only European destination where the show goes on - which makes the story itself bigger than an ordinary concert.
Tickets are sold through vivere.al and the event's official page. The concert takes place on July 11 at the Air Albania Stadium in Tirana, Albania, with doors at 4 p.m. and the show starting at 8 p.m.
