The chamber concert "Lace of Notes" takes place on October 2, 2026 at 7:30 p.m. at the "Boris Christoff" Museum in Sofia. On stage are mezzo-soprano Jennifer Stambolieva and pianist and composer Mario Yotsov, under the motto "Light, voice, keys".
The programme is broad for one evening in a museum hall. German Romanticism comes from Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler and Hugo Wolf, Italian impressionism from Ottorino Respighi, and the Russian side from the romances of Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Alexander Dargomyzhsky. There will also be virtuoso pieces by Albert Pieczonka and contemporary compositions by Yotsov himself.
Yotsov is known in Bulgarian chamber circles as a pianist who has accompanied well-known mezzo-sopranos for years, but also as a composer who regularly gives concerts of his own music. The venue carries its own weight: the house of Boris Christoff, one of the greatest basses of the twentieth century, is now a museum and a space for intimate evenings like this one.
Tickets cost 10 euros, roughly 616 denars, and are sold on bilet.bg. The hall is small, so this is an evening for those who want to hear the voice without a microphone and without distance.
