Marduk, the Swedish band that has been among the most recognisable names in extreme black metal for decades, return to Skopje after a seven-year gap. The concert is on October 8, 2026 at the MKC Dancing Hall, starting at 7 pm, and a ticket costs 1,300 denars. Ambroz and Warhammer perform alongside them.

Marduk was formed in Norrköping in 1990 by Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson. The band's early sound was black metal with a strong death metal influence, but over the years it moved toward the faster, denser form it is known for today. Thirty-five years of existence and fifteen studio albums put the band in the narrow circle of first-generation Swedish groups that never paused long enough for anyone to say they had come back.

Second on the bill is Ambroz, a symphonic black metal group with decades of presence on the Macedonian scene - which means this is not the classic case of a local band put on to warm up the room, but a group with an audience of its own. Third are Warhammer, a band from Athens that tours actively on an international level. The whole evening is organised by Terrorvoid Promotions.

The MKC Dancing Hall is a space that works better for this genre than bigger arenas: large enough for a proper production, small enough that the crowd does not scatter. Tickets are sold through karti.com.mk. For a scene that rarely gets international names of this rank in Skopje, the October date is among the more important ones this year.
