Marko Škugor, the Croatian singer who started out in a klapa and is now building a successful solo career, performs in Rijeka. On July 25, 2026, at Trsat Castle, as part of the "Summer on Gradina" programme, he stages a concert on one of the finest stages of the Kvarner.

Škugor is one of the names that grew out of the Dalmatian klapa tradition into independent stage performers. He began his career as first tenor of Klapa s mora, with whom he represented Croatia at Eurovision in 2013 with the song "Mižerja". Since then he has built a solo path with a string of songs that blend traditional melody with a contemporary pop sound.

The show is part of the 21st edition of "Summer on Gradina", a festival held throughout the summer at Trsat Castle and in Nugent Park. The setting of the old fortress above Rijeka is one of the most striking summer stages in the region.
