Nazareth, the Scottish hard rock outfit whose ballad "Love Hurts" has sat on radio playlists for half a century, play Sofia on 1 October 2026. The concert is at Pirotska 5 Event Center, starting at 20:00.

The band was formed in 1968 in Dunfermline and is among the few from that generation that never stopped working. The current line-up is held together by bassist Pete Agnew, the only member from the original band, alongside guitarist Jimmy Murrison and drummer Lee Agnew, both in the band since the nineties. The continuity here is a family matter - Lee is Pete's son.

The new thing for 2026 is a new singer. The group introduced Gianni Pontillo as frontman, and Pete Agnew said publicly that anyone who has already heard him knows what kind of voice he has, while everyone else is in for a surprise. Pontillo comes from the German heavy metal band Victory, led by former Accept guitarist Herman Frank. The year itself has been announced as one of the busiest in the band's history.
