The singer who built his own audience out of covers of other people's songs during the pandemic now fills an arena. Peđa Jovanović performs on March 8, 2027, at Belgrade Arena, in a slot right on International Women's Day - an evening tailored for his repertoire of ballads and covers that went viral online.

Jovanović, born in 1977 in Stuttgart with roots in Priboj, entered music through the duo Blizanci with his twin brother Nenad, which released three albums between 2003 and 2008. He then spent five years as a keyboardist in Lexington Band, where his vocals were in the background. He started his solo career at the urging of Bojan Vasković, the leader of that group.

The real breakthrough came during the covid pandemic, when he began recording covers of songs by other performers and quickly gathered a large online audience. He released his first solo album, 24/7, in October 2023. From a backing musician to a name that fills an arena - Jovanović's path is one of the more interesting stories on the new pop scene.
