The Russian Theatre in Belgrade performs "Puškin.Slučaji" ("Pushkin.Chances") at Ložionica on October 14 from 8 p.m. It's performed in Serbian, with Russian subtitles.

The basis is Alexander Pushkin's "The Belkin Tales" - "The Blizzard", "The Shot", "The Stationmaster" and "The Squire's Daughter". The director and set designer is award-winning Russian director Philipp Vinogradov, who has lived and worked in Belgrade since 2022. The cast is Daniel Kovačević, Evgenija Eškina Kovačević, Nikola Štrbac and Rade Maričić.

The show raises questions about personal freedom, fate and the influence of chance, social structures and historical forces on an individual life. Pushkin from the early 19th century, read today in Belgrade by Russian artists who found a new home there - a layered enough context even without a director's interpretation.

Tickets are 1,000 dinars via tickets.rs. Ložionica is at Ideja 2 street in Belgrade.
