Raid Kyu, a turntablist who treats the decks as an instrument, plays Club Mixtape 5 in Sofia on 8 October 2026 alongside three musicians from Belgrade's jazz avant-garde. Doors and music start at 19:30.

Raid Kyu is a respected producer and composer whose work runs through hip-hop, electronica, ambient and contemporary jazz. What separates him from other DJs is that alongside the high-technique scratching he also plays piano and synthesizers - the turntable in his hands is not a playback device but an instrument with equal standing. His performances have been featured on the official channels of Native Instruments, Arturia and Phase DJ precisely because of how he uses the technology.

He has several albums of his own, among them "Little Box", "12 Rooms" and "Stray Cats and Sunsets", plus a number of film and theatre music projects. As a turntablist he has been brought onto releases by some of the biggest names on the global scratch scene, DJ Revolution included.

In Sofia he is joined on stage by Milena Jankurić on flute, Aleksandar Jovanović - Šljuka on double bass and Aleksandar Cvetković - Drama on drums.
