Richard Clayderman, the French pianist and one of the most recognisable figures of light classical and easy listening music, comes to Sofia on March 5, 2027. The concert will take place in Hall 1 of NDK with the Cantus Firmus orchestra.
Philippe Pages, who performs under the name Richard Clayderman, was born in 1953 in Paris. The global breakthrough came in 1976 with the song Ballade pour Adeline by composer Paul de Senneville - with over 22 million singles and records sold, it is one of the best-selling piano instrumentals of all time. With more than 250 studio albums (a Guinness record for piano performances worldwide), 30 platinum and 70 gold certifications, he is one of the most commercially successful pianists.
The setlist covers Ballade pour Adeline, A Comme Amour, Lyphard Melodie, Chariots of Fire and material from his collaborations with Asian and Latin American markets. Cantus Firmus is the orchestra that regularly tours with him, providing a large symphonic backing to the acoustic piano parts. NDK Hall 1, with a capacity of 2,800 and excellent acoustics, is the ideal setting.
Tickets are available through eventim.bg at 70 leva. The concert starts at 20:00 on Friday, March 5, 2027. For Macedonian fans of light classical music and romantic easy listening, this is one of the key dates in the neighbourhood right now.
