Soundprophet are launching their new album "Nothing New" with a show at Mixtape 5 in Sofia on October 17, 2026. Doors at 8pm, music at 9, and they are sharing the stage with One Day Less.

The band came together in Sofia in 2010 and has been building a recognisable sound in Bulgarian alternative rock ever since. The line-up is Penko Skumov on vocals, Mitko Peshev on guitar, Georgi Mihaylov on bass and vocals, and Nikolay Ivanov on drums.

So far there are two albums - "More Than Any Spoken Words" from 2013 and "Revelation" from 2017 - plus a string of singles between 2022 and 2024. Their music welds nineties alternative and grunge influences to hard rock energy and indie rock depth, with an art rock aftertaste you rarely get from bands on the same scene.

Heavy guitars, melodic lines and lyrics that read like confessions, all pushed through the raw energy they carry live - that is the formula people know them by. The Sofia show is an album launch, which means new material played in front of an audience for the first time. Tickets run from 15 to 25 euros through bilet.bg.
