De Vejlers vo Sofija na 15 juli

The Wailers, the legendary Jamaican reggae band that was home to Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer, come to Sofia on July 15, 2026. The show goes down at Vidas Art Arena in Sofia's Borisova Garden, as part of the anniversary tour 50 Years of Positive Vibrations, marking 50 years since the classic album Rastaman Vibration.

The band was formed in Kingston in 1963 as the Wailing Wailers and over the years became one of the most famous names in reggae. After Bob Marley's death in 1981, the rhythm section of bassist Aston Family Man Barrett and his brother Carlton kept the band going, holding the original sound together. Today the group is led by Aston's son, Aston Junior Dragon Barrett, alongside guitarist Donald Kinsey and singers Joshua David Barrett and Drayshawn Berry. The 1976 album Rastaman Vibration was the band's first to break the US Billboard top 10, with tracks Roots, Rock, Reggae, Crazy Baldhead and War.

The 50 Years of Positive Vibrations setlist centres on Bob Marley and Wailers classics - No Woman No Cry, One Love, Three Little Birds, Is This Love, Get Up Stand Up, Buffalo Soldier and Could You Be Loved. The band's shows are known for keeping the authentic reggae spirit alive and often run more than two hours. Vidas Art Arena with capacity for around 7000 and an open-air summer format is the right setting for the reggae sound.

Tickets are available via ticketstation.bg. The show is on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 in the evening. Vidas Art Arena sits at the velodrome in Sofia's Borisova Garden. For Macedonian reggae fans this is one of the biggest chances to hear the original Jamaican sound in the neighbourhood.
