Hugo Race and Fatalists, a project by the Australian musician and former member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, perform in Belgrade on November 11 at KC Grad. For lovers of alternative rock and desert blues this is a rare chance to see an artist with deep roots in one of the most important stories of world rock.
Hugo Race was part of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in their formative years, from 1983 to 1985, when the band's recognisable dark sound took shape. After that he built an independent career as a musician and producer, moving through rock, blues and experimental waters with an unmistakable personal stamp.
In 2010 Race formed the Fatalists project together with Antonio Gramentieri and Diego Sapignoli from the Italian instrumental band Sacri Cuori. Their sound blends folk songs, desert blues and the collaborators' Italian roots into one warm, cinematic sound. This is music made for intimate spaces like KC Grad, where atmosphere and lyric come into their own.
Tickets run from around 789 denars and are available via tickets.rs. The show is at KC Grad in Belgrade, in the evening hours.
