No licence, a chainsaw and undocumented firewood in the "Golf": 29-year-old from Strimnica detained

A routine traffic stop in Želino, in the Tetovo region, ended with a man being taken in. On the evening of October 12, at around 7:30 p.m., officers from the Grupčin Police Unit pulled over a Volkswagen Golf with Skopje registration plates. The driver, 29-year-old I.B. from the village of Strimnica, had no driving licence.

The licence was only the beginning. In the boot, officers found firewood without the proper documentation and a chainsaw. The car and the wood were seized, and once the case is fully documented, a criminal complaint against him will follow.

The picture is familiar to anyone who lives near a forest: a saw in the boot, wood without papers, October before the winter. How many boots like this pass through the villages around Tetovo without ever being stopped?

This time the 29-year-old got caught because of his licence, not because of the wood. Will anyone check the forest it came from?
