Zabranjeno pušenje, one of the longest-running and best-loved bands of the former Yugoslavia, comes to Pula on July 18 to the Small Roman Theatre with a special acoustic concert titled "Unplugged". For the first time they are performing this programme in the open air, under the stars, in the setting of an ancient Roman theatre.

The band from Sarajevo, born in the early eighties as part of the legendary "new primitivism", has stayed in the collective memory of the whole region with songs like "Zenica blues", "Guverna" and countless others that generations know by heart. Zabranjeno pušenje is also inseparably tied to the cult series "Top lista nadrealista", and their humour, social edge and distinctive sound made them one of the most recognisable names of the ex-Yugoslav rock scene.

The "Unplugged" project strips their hits down to the very core - acoustic arrangements, more intimate, more sincere and closer than ever, with the accent on storytelling and a direct connection with the audience. For this show the sound will be further enriched by a string quartet, which gives the songs a new, almost cinematic dimension. The combination of an acoustic band, strings and the open-air Roman theatre promises an evening different from a standard rock concert.

Tickets cost 33 euros for the stands and 44 euros for the floor, available via entrio.hr. The show is at the Small Roman Theatre in Pula, with doors at 19:30 and the start at 21:00.
