Nineties dance returns to the Sports Hall in Zajecar on October 10 at 8pm, under the name Dance 90-ih Premium. Four names on the poster: Ivan Gavrilovic, Dr Igi, Funky G and Mobi Dik.

Gavrilovic brings the most direct reference of the lot - "200 na sat" from 1994, a song that became one of the biggest dance hits of the decade and which people at the time called techno-folk, because of the mix of dance and folk music. The album of the same name sat unreleased for six months because no label would take it, and when it finally came out it went hit overnight.

Dr Igi is Igor Todorovic, born in Belgrade in 1970, the eurodance musician behind "Oci boje duge", "Nikad", "Kao pre", "Pusti me da zivim" and "Uzalud se trudis". Mobi Dik is a pop-dance outfit formed in 1992, with hits including "Nema nas vise", "Brate prijatelju", "Zar nije te stid", "Bacila si cini" and "Kralj kokaina" - the last of those was banned by some television and radio stations.

Funky G were founded by Dragan Gagi Djogani and Anabela Bukva in 1993, two years before they married. Their first single was "Dance je uvek u fazonu" that same year, the first album "Samo u snu" in 1994. Anabela recorded twelve studio albums with the group before going solo after their divorce in 2009.

Zajecar is no random venue for this line-up. The town has hosted the Gitarijada since 1966, one of the longest-running festivals in Serbia and in southeastern Europe, so the audience there has six decades of habit going out for live music. Tickets are around 947 denars through tickets.rs.
