Hari Mata Hari play the Summer Stage at Palić on September 12 from 8:30pm. This is the band's second concert at the same venue, and the show is part of the tour with which Hajrudin Hari Varešanović marks forty years of his career.

The Sarajevo band is one of those rare Yugoslav names that survived the war without losing its audience in any of the new states. The numbers are neatly documented - over 1,000 concerts played and around five million albums sold. Hits like "Prsten i zlatni lanac", "Otkud ti k'o sudbina", "Ostavi suze za kraj", "Barbara", "Kamikaza" and "Ivana" are today a standard part of every regional ballad playlist.

Internationally, the band is best known for 2006, when it represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at Eurovision in Athens with the song "Lejla". They finished third with 229 points - the best result the Bosnian state has ever achieved at that contest. Twenty years earlier Hari Mata Hari came fifth at Jugovizija with "U tvojoj kosi", and the following year fourteenth with "Nebeska kraljica".

Palić sits next to Subotica, at the very north of Serbia, some fifteen kilometres from the Hungarian border - which means this show is far more accessible to an audience from Vojvodina than to one from Belgrade. Tickets are around 1,842 denars via tickets.rs.
