Iranian forces carried out fierce attacks on oil tankers, ports and terminals across the Persian Gulf, with two tankers struck in Iraqi waters near Basra. Overnight, a projectile struck an Italian military base in the Iraqi city of Erbil, confirmed by Italy's Ministry of Defense. There are no reports of casualties at this base.
