The Kameleon string quartet plays the Residence of Princess Ljubica in Belgrade on September 17 from 8:30pm, as part of the 33rd BELEF. The ticket is among the cheapest at the entire festival - around 263 denars.

The quartet has been going since 2001 and has a repertoire profile that refuses to sit inside the usual split between concert hall and popular music. They play classical works alongside evergreen, rock and film themes - which is also where the name comes from. In Belgrade they have performed in the hall of the Ilija Kolarac Endowment, at Madlenianum, in the RTS gallery and in the atrium of the National Museum, and in Novi Sad at Matica Srpska.

They have also played well outside the big cities - at Nusicijada in Ivanjica, Nusic Days in Smederevo, the Danilo Lazovic Days in Priboj, Musical Summer in Aleksinac, and Marble and Sounds in Arandjelovac. In 2024 they performed at the International Piano Festival in Malta.

The Residence was built between 1829 and 1831 on the orders of Prince Milos Obrenovic, as a private home for his wife Ljubica, to plans by the court builder Hadzi Nikola Zivkovic. Since 1980 it has been part of the Belgrade City Museum and carries the status of a cultural monument of exceptional importance. Tickets are via tickets.rs, and the concert starts at 8:30pm.
