Leb i sol at Star Fest in Vrnjačka Banja on June 26 - The Legends of Macedonian Rock and Belo kopče on One Stage

Legendary group Leb i sol headline Star Fest on June 26 at the „Danilo Bata Stojković“ amphitheatre in Vrnjačka Banja, Serbia. Sharing the stage with them is the Macedonian band Belo kopče, which makes the evening a fully Macedonian affair on a Serbian stage.

Leb i sol need no introduction for a Macedonian audience. Formed in Skopje in 1976 by Vlatko Stefanovski, Bodan Arsovski, Nikola Kokan Dimuševski and Garabet Tavitjan, the band is one of the most important names in Yugoslav rock and a pioneer in fusing the rock sound with Macedonian and Balkan melodies. Decades of work and instrumental mastery made them a reference point for generations of musicians across the region.

Belo kopče, meanwhile, is a tribute project from Macedonia formed in 2022, dedicated to the musical legacy of Bijelo dugme but with its own authorial stamp. The band revives the hits of the most famous ex-Yugoslav group, while songs like „Suvenir iz Sarajeva“ show a creative direction of its own. The lineup is Zoran Rudan-Čeki, Stevče Grozdanov, Goran Gešovski, Borislav Draganov, Emil Milev and Kalina Velkovska-Kali.

Star Fest takes place on Friday, June 26, starting at 20:00 at the „Danilo Bata Stojković“ amphitheatre in Vrnjačka Banja. Tickets are on sale through tickets.rs. The event is in Serbia, a little over half a day's drive for those in the Macedonian audience weighing the trip.
