Marines on Deck: US Seizes Iranian Ship, Tehran Launches Drones in Response

US Marines helicoptered onto an Iranian cargo ship and seized it. Trump called it "enforcing the blockade." Tehran called it "armed piracy." The only difference is perspective - the consequences are the same for everyone.

The vessel Touska was sailing under the Iranian flag when the destroyer USS Spruance and CENTCOM marines intercepted it. US Central Command released footage of the operation - helmet cameras, marines descending from helicopters, classic Hollywood production for the domestic audience.

Iran's response came fast: Tehran claims it launched drones against American warships in the Gulf of Oman. Confirmed damage? Zero. But the message is clear - Iran has no intention of staying quiet while its ships are taken.

Markets reacted instantly. Brent crude jumped 4.74%, US WTI by 5.6%. One-fifth of the world's oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Every provocation there is a direct hit on fuel prices everywhere - including here.

US Vice President JD Vance is planning negotiations in Pakistan. But Iran has already said: no talks while the blockade continues. Negotiations with a gun on the table - a model the Middle East knows too well, and the rest of the world always pays for at the gas pump.
