(Ne)normalni play Nova Zappa Barka on Kej kula Nebojsa in Belgrade on October 4 from 9pm. The concert poster spells out what will be played: Haustor, Idoli, EKV "and a bit more of ours and other people's".

That trio is no random pick - Haustor, Idoli and Ekatarina Velika are among the bands that defined the new Yugoslav scene at the start of the eighties, and whose music has since been quoted far more often than it has actually been played. Taking on that repertoire means taking on responsibility in front of an audience that knows the originals by heart.

The band comes from Novi Sad and started as a tribute act to Djordje Balasevic, under the name (ne)normalni Balasevic tribute band. In 2011 they went out on their own. The line-up is wider than the average rock band: Nenad Jelenkovic Jelen on lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Mina Mladenovic on violin, Emil Saks on keys, Branislav Djordjev on accordion, Srdjan Stojanac on bass, Nikola Ajtic on electric guitar and Dragan Jovanovic on drums.

A violin and an accordion in a line-up playing Idoli and EKV is exactly what sets them apart from the standard tribute band - the arrangements have to be rebuilt, not just copied out. Tickets are around 579 denars through tickets.rs, and the show starts at 9pm.
