On October 24 at 20:00, Stanica 26 on Jordan Mijalkov street in Skopje hosts "Skopje in Chains", a tribute night dedicated to Alice in Chains. The band Tripod performs.

The band's name is a wink to the fans: "Tripod" is the nickname of Alice in Chains' 1995 self-titled album, whose cover shows a three-legged dog. The set runs through "Facelift", "Dirt", "Jar of Flies" and "Tripod" - the darkest page of Seattle, as the organisers put it.

Alice in Chains, with the voices of Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell, were one of the pillars of Seattle grunge, shoulder to shoulder with Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Staley died in 2002, and the band later carried on with William DuVall. The harmonies of the two singers are the hardest part for any tribute - and the best test of whether a band has understood the music.
