On the twelfth day of US-Israeli military operations against Iran, Iranian forces attacked oil tankers in Iraqi territorial waters near Basra. Two tankers — allegedly American and Greek — were struck, with one crew member killed and 38 rescued. The incident caused oil prices to surge to $100 per barrel for Brent, a nine percent increase on Asian markets.

President Donald Trump warned that the United States could destroy Iran's electrical infrastructure within one hour, the restoration of which would take 25 years. He stated that US forces have largely neutralized Iranian military capabilities, including the navy and air force.

Simultaneously, in Beirut an air strike on the coastal promenade of Ramlet el-Baida killed at least eight people and wounded 31.

Ukrainian political consultant Andriy Zolotaryov stated that Russia is likely providing Iran with military assistance, including satellite intelligence for targeting US assets in the region. US Central Command confirmed the destruction of three Iranian aircraft with video evidence.
