Lucy Kruger & The Lost Boys play the club Rusti on Partizanski Odredi boulevard in Skopje on October 7 at 21:00. The band files itself under art-pop and also describes its sound as "tender noise" - a combination that sounds contradictory until you hear it.

Kruger was born in South Africa, where in 2015 she released her debut album "Summer's Not That Simple". In 2018 she moved to Berlin and signed to the German label Unique Records, which put out "Sleeping Tapes for Some Girls". That album opened her "tapes" cycle: "Transit Tapes For Women Who Move Furniture Around" followed in 2021 and "Teen Tapes (For Performing Your Own Stunts)" in 2022. The latest album, "Heaving", was released by Unique Records in Europe and Metropolis Records in the US.

The music weaves between alternative, indie-folk, ambient and dream-pop, and it asks for silence in the room, not chatter at the bar. Rusti is a small club, which means the audience will be close to the band. How many bands from the Berlin alternative scene make it to Skopje in a whole year?

Entry is 400 denars, with tickets on tix.mk. The organisers at Rusti announce the gig with confidence: we found you a new favourite band, and they'll take your thanks after the show, at the bar.
