The Macedonian Philharmonic goes on tour to the Bitola Cultural Centre on October 14 at 20:00. The programme is made up of overtures from the classical symphonic repertoire, with conductor Borjan Canev leading the orchestra.
Six days earlier, on October 8, Canev and the orchestra perform the programme "Musical Code" in Skopje, with overtures by Mozart, Rossini, Beethoven, Brahms, Wagner, Verdi and Shostakovich. For the Bitola date the Philharmonic announces the repertoire only in general terms, without an exact list of works.
Touring dates are the rare nights when the state orchestra leaves its own hall. This way the Bitola audience gets a full symphony orchestra without travelling to Skopje. How many towns in Macedonia even have a hall where a full orchestra can sit down?
Ticket prices are not listed on the Philharmonic's website, and sales information is available at filharmonija.mk.
