Part of Skopje will be without electricity and water today due to planned technical work on the power and water infrastructure. The cuts vary in time and scope, but they hit specific streets and neighbourhoods.

Electricity cuts (EVN Macedonia):

Residents on streets 31, 102 and 103 in Volkovo (Gjorche Petrov municipality) will be without power from 9:00 to 14:00. Users in the Katlanovo area (Petrovec municipality) - including Katlanovo Street, the Katlanovo entrance and the zone along the regional road - will be off the grid from 11:00 to 13:00.

Water supply cuts (RCUK Skopje):

Part of Dane Krapchev Street, specifically number 26 (Centar municipality), will be without water from 8:30 due to the installation of a new Ø80mm water connection. How long it takes depends on how fast the crew works. In plain terms - empty your boiler before you leave for work.

For residents at these addresses this is a standard piece of Skopje daily life. The question nobody answers is why coordination between EVN, the water utility and municipal services still requires citizens to monitor announcements every day just to find out whether they will have services. In cities with proper infrastructure planning this is done by SMS notice a week ahead, not by social media posts 30 minutes before the cut.
