The Macedonian Philharmonic holds its New Year's Gala symphony concert "Three Tenors" on December 24 at 20:00. The soloists are Blagoj Nacoski, Josif Giuseppe Gipali and Kastriot Tusha, with the Italian conductor Attilio Tomasello leading the orchestra. The programme is made up of popular arias from the classical opera repertoire.

Nacoski was born in Skopje in 1979 and made his opera debut in 2003 at the Rome Opera, as Arturo in "Lucia di Lammermoor". Since then he has sung at the Salzburg Festival, the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, in Zurich, Frankfurt and at La Fenice in Venice, and in 2008 the government named him an ambassador of Macedonian culture.

Gipali, born in Vlorë in Albania, has guested at La Scala, Covent Garden and the Vienna State Opera and is known as an interpreter of Verdi. Tusha was born in Elbasan in 1963 and sang the lead roles in "La Traviata", "Rigoletto" and "The Barber of Seville" at the national opera in Tirana; in Albania he is also known for singing the anthem before national football team matches. Tomasello was first Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin.
