Five institutions were called about Mavrovo, none picked up

The clearest picture of the day comes from the lake. Tourists are climbing the submerged church in Mavrovo, and the walls are already structurally compromised after decades under water. Five institutions were called and not one of them answered. Residents are not asking for a fence or a ban, they are asking for signs and an occasional patrol, which is the cheapest measure available. When nobody is in charge, the first person who gets hurt will also be the only one to blame.

The expert report on „Puls” says the document never existed

Every construction intervention at „Puls” was illegal, and at 472 square metres the venue could never have been licensed as a cabaret, because the limit is 300. Up to 10,000 sheep have died of sheep pox, with more than 50 outbreak sites and 40 families left without income. Compensation is 100 denars per kilo, while dead animals lie in yards for weeks. At the same time the state is announcing penalties for unauthorised vaccination, which to a farmer with no flock left sounds like a threat over something he has already lost.

The fire reached the houses before the report reached anyone

The fire moved in among the first houses in Čanište, and it was only reported at 15.58. Of 22 fires in a single day, seven are still active.
