Iran Humiliated Trump: Uranium Is Sacred, Hormuz Is Ours - And There's No Negotiating

While Trump talked about a "great deal" with Tehran, Iran answered with two words: no chance. Iranian spokesman Esmail Bagai was crystal clear - enriched uranium will not be handed to anyone, and the topic was never on the table with Iranian authorities.

"What American officials claim finds no confirmation. Specifically, I can say with certainty: uranium enriched by Iran will not be handed to anyone," Bagai stated. Going a step further, he compared the significance of uranium to that of Iranian territory itself - sacred and untouchable.

The message is direct: Tehran views its nuclear program as a matter of sovereignty, not a subject for negotiation. For Trump, who's used to issuing ultimatums via Twitter, this is the kind of response he can't control.

The Strait of Hormuz: The nerve center of global energy

Bagai didn't stop there. After the uranium question came a warning about the Strait of Hormuz - the artery through which a massive share of global energy supply flows. Iran will show no flexibility in implementing measures it considers necessary to protect its national interests, with vessels navigating routes determined by Tehran.

What does this mean for the world? Every escalation around Hormuz directly hits oil and gas prices - and people in the Balkans feel it when they go to the gas station. Iran is clearly showing it has pressure tools that don't include a single missile.

Diplomacy between Washington and Tehran increasingly resembles a chess game where both players refuse to play by the other's rules. The question is how long the world can afford this stalemate.
