Nikola Rokvić has set a premiere. On November 13, in the Blue Hall of Sava Centar in Belgrade, the Serbian singer holds his first big solo concert, titled „Susret" (The Encounter), marking two decades of his career. It starts at 8 p.m.
Rokvić carries one of the best-known surnames in Serbian folk music - he's the son of the late folk giant Marinko Rokvić. He started his own career in 2006 with the debut album „Oprosti mojoj mladosti", full of hits like „S kim si me noćas varala" and „Ja sam tvoj i kad spavam s njom". His second album „Prećuti me" (2008) cemented his place on the scene, and the song „Med i slatko grožđe" from the Grand festival is considered the biggest success of his career.
The choice to mark the anniversary at Sava Centar specifically is no accident - his father filled the same hall at his own 40-years-of-career concert. For Rokvić this is a symbolic step, his first solo concert in this format after twenty years on stage, in a place where the family name already has a history.
Tickets start at 2,500 dinars through tickets.rs. The concert starts at 8 p.m. in the Blue Hall of Sava Centar in Belgrade.
